Description: If you are running your South Bend Lathe with a 3 phase VFD or a DC motor controller, you can wire this carriage stop limit switch to automatically stop the motor and carriage when it hits the switch. Useful for long slow runs so you can walk away from the machine without worrying it will crash. Can be used when threading in case you panic and forget to disengage the halfnut. Can be used with a regular motor (under 10 amps 240v) as well, but the lathe will coast to a stop, and might have significant overtravel. 3d printed body, with an Omron limit switch (has 3 terminals: NO, NC, and common) , and wired up with 36" of 2 wire shielded cable to the NC and common. (if you need more cable just ask)
