Description: Soviet Russian USSR Researched Order of Nevsky #34273 Silver and enamels. Type 3. Serial number: 34273. Comes with scans of complete research: Award Card, Citation for this order. Awarded to Guards Lieutenant Kazakov U.S., commander of rifle company, 181th rifle regiment, 61st rifle division, 57th army. Citation provides detailed account of personal bravery and skillful command of lieutenant Kazakov in fights against germans at city of Feldbach (Austria), AFTER OFFICIAL CAPITULATION of GERMANY (!), on May 8th, 1945. As many historical accounts prove, many fanatical german detachments did not surrender, and fought up to May 14-15th, merely to either escape, or at least become POW's of English-American troops. Comrade Kazakov personally killed 9, and over 30 total w/his men. A very significant and historically important award, for a true combat action. The condition: order has strange damage on the silver rays at 4 o'clock, possibly WWII related (shell fragment, bullet ?). Not sure, please see images. Some scratches on enamel, but overall nice, with full gold-plating still remainning.
