Our .223/5.56 Powerhead bodies are precisely made using professional CNC technology. We use high-quality 6000 series marine-grade aluminum, unlike the cheap bar stock aluminum many others use. Our powerheads are professionally Hard Coat Anodized (HCA) to reduce corrosion even further and protect the bodies. The inserts are made of high density, UV resistant Delrin and tapered for greater reliability than the rubber hose style inserts or straight-through inserts. We also cut pressure release channels in the side of the insert to avoid hydraulic lock. The insert is then professionally attached to the body with 300 pound mono and nickel crimps.The sharp 37.5 degree taper on the end of the barrel is designed to make angled shots more reliable.
