Description: Stan Galli, PRINT, Bobcat and Kittens, Vintage 1960’s Weyerhaueser Wildlife, Unframed. FREE SHIPPING!! Approximate Measurements Outside edges of Print: Height 20”” Length 22.75” Art image Height 12.5” Length 16” This is a print taken from an original oil by American artist/illustrator Stan Galli that is 1 of 4 commissioned by the Weyerhaeuser Timber Company in the 1960’s. Sets of prints were given with the purchase of paneling. Weyerhaeuser wanted to help tell the story, through these images painted, of perpetual harvest and renewal of our forest lands. In the prints you’ll see the harvested trees stumps and the abundance of trees left standing and those smaller ones that have been planted. I have a listing for another from this same set of prints called Bobcat and Kittens if you’d like to take a look. This actual print has some darkening around the edges and a few places that I’ve photographed so you’ll see exactly the condition. I’ve placed a white poster board behind so you can get a better idea of true background color. There is a small amount of curving but not bad. The buck is an absolute beautiful beast of the forest. Majestic in his leap. PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS. ALL PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL PRINT YOU WILL RECEIVE. FREE SHIPPING!! Print is as pictured. You can find copies of this image online in wrapped canvas offered for quite a higher price. For the art online similar to mine the artists name is on the image but nowhere on the description of the painting. It’s unfortunate he isn’t named because Mr. Galli was quite a wonderful and prolific artist. His art graced the magazines Saturday Evening Post, Readers Digest, Sports Afield, True, and many great travel posters that remind me of the Mad Men era. They’re awesome! Take an internet search and you’ll see. His work hangs in the Pentagon, the Baseball Hall of Fame, and has been shown at the Smithsonian. FREE SHIPPING!!
