Description: Listed for sale is a Stanley Rule & Level Co, Transitional Wood Jack Plane Model No 127. The Lever Cap has the 'Liberty Bell' emblem which appears on some models made for the 1876 centennial & used thru World War I. The plane measures 15" in length & the beechwood body has had a brass plate attached to it's sole. The 2" W blade is marked 'STANLEY NEW BRITAIN CONN USA'. The steel portions of the plane have no damage. The wood portion does show some minor shrinkage cracks from age & some nicks aquired over the years. The handle does have a repair to reconnect the tip which was broken off. The plane still displays nicely.
