Stromberg Carlson 1243W rotary dial telephone

Description: Stromberg Carlson 1243W rotary dial with metal housing telephone and Bakelite handset. Tested and works. The phone rings when called (the phone has a straight line ringer), dials out on a plain old telephone service line and a conversation can take place - the transmitter and receiver elements work. Dial Specs: Dial works at 9.2 pulses per second; 63/37 break make ratio (nominal specs: 8-11 PPS; 60 +/- 5 ). The dial includes the number card holder. The housing and handset are not damaged but the phone does have use and wear related marks in the paint on the metal housing (see images). The hard wired straight handset cord is flexible but a bit stiff from age. The base is clean, inside and out, and has no corrosion. The rubber feet are in very good, undamaged condition. The phone has a new 7 foot long black modular line cord for use with a modular wall telephone jack. The phone was gently cleaned during inspection and testing. No artificial agents (wax, oil, lotion, cream, spray and/or top coating) have been put on the phone to enhance the shine of any surfaces. Note: The phone and dial have been tested as working on a plain old telephone system landline service (this phone was not tested on digital/VOIP services, many of which do not accept rotary pulse dialing - buyer is responsible for determining if this rotary pulse dial phone will work on their digital phone service). To make this phone work on most digital/VOIP phone lines, the buyer will have to purchase an analog to digital adapter (ADA).
