Note from the manufacturer regarding apparent discrepancies in the diameter of the beret: We have measured several styles from stock and most are coming in at 11 ½ inches, although a few are measuring 11 or 11 ¼ inches. All the hats are blocked to 11 ½ inches but different dyestuffs may saturate the yarns a bit differently, causing some compacting. If the customer simply stretches the hat by hand, they will have give. If steamed or wet, they will stretch even further.
