Description: This uncirculated 20 Swiss franc banknote is a standard circulation note that is dated 2016 and signed by President of the Swiss National Bank Jean Studer and Director Thomas Jordan. It is part of the 9th series of banknotes issued by the Swiss National Bank that was designed by Manuela Pfrunder, had the theme “The Many Facets of Switzerland”, and won the 2019 “Best New Banknote Series” award at the High-Security Printing EMEA Conference in Malta. The red note is made of a Durasafe composite, is vertically oriented on both sides, and measures 130 mm x 70 mm. Its obverse side depicts the Swiss cross, a human hand holding a prism that disperses light into different colors, a kaleidoscope pattern, and a light motif over the globe in a purple SPARK. Its reverse side shows butterflies, a light projected at a screen during a film festival, human eye iris lines, a holographic security stripe with 20, and a night-time light emissions map of Switzerland. Other security features include a windowed security thread with the demetalized Swiss flag and 20, a watermark of the Swiss flag and globe, and a multicolored Swiss flag registration device.
