Description: This is an "approved provided" prototype from one of the Chinese factories that Teleflora used. I have three of these I am selling. They are all slightly different. This sale is for this one only. I don't know what the markings mean. I am the original sculptor for this item. I was one of the main sculptors working with Teleflora in the 1990's through the early 2000's. I did most of the Beatrix Potter pieces, all the monsters, many many floral and vegetable/fruit designs, Coke Bears, and pieces I can't recall right now. I did lots of teacup and saucer designs, mugs, pitchers and containers of every sort. I was given a few finished pieces when they came back from final production in Hong Kong. Some of these pieces I have several of, some I have one. Some are the advanced prototype examples of which there may only be one ever made. These will have descriptive markings. I also have several of the original plastic resin molds that were sent to different manufacturers. These were then, usually, slightly simplified to make mass mold making easier for them. Thus you will notice that these true original forms will have more detail. Also, if I have the original wax copies. They, too, will have the original detail. In a few cases I still have the original clay pieces I sculpted. I have decided, after these many years, to lighten my load and sell these pieces. If you collect Teleflora, this will be a chance to have one of these pieces signed by the original sculptor... me (Mike Malis). When they are gone, that will be it. I have tried to show some receipts or other items to show proper provenance in relation to each item. Sometimes the molded piece is provenance in itself. I can sign these to your specification if you desire. I.E. with a name (yours), or in a different location on the piece if possible. I will try to combine shipping. Any questions...please ask. As for my credentials... I have a fine art sculpture degree. I worked in the toy industry. I did much work for television shows, movies, commercials, theme parks, casinos,mannequins, retail products(such as Teleflora), and other commercial sculpture endeavors. This took me away from my fine art but paid the bills for many years, and I was one of a handful of constantly working commercial sculptors in the Los Angeles area.
