It resembles a tall thin bird and looks hornlike and it is generally believed to represent the mythical creature Garuda, half bird and half man, who is the vehicle of the Hindu god Vishnu. This fine sculpture most likely dates to the 19th century and is in good overall condition, with some losses and wear commensurate with age and use. A fine decorative object for your home! Dimensions: Overall with plinth: Approximately 74.5 in H x 11 in W x 12 in D.
