Description: Offered is the antique soft cover book "The History of the Ancient Australian Convict Ship 'Success' and the Story of the Transportation of Prisoners from England to Australia", published in Cleveland by the Jontzen Printing Co., with a 1929 copyright date. There are several black and white illustrations and photos. The book is approx. 7 3/4" x 5 1/4" and contains 191 pages. It is in very good condition. The soft cover has no tears, but does have some light creasing and light surface wear. I see no missing or torn pages and all of the pages are well-attached to the cover. They have yellowed but are otherwise mostly clean and clear, with the exception of a small spot on the title page. A previous owner has written his name on the title page, with the date 1939, and his initials appear inside the front cover, but I see no writing in the body of the book. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions.
