Description: This vintage tanker is quite unique. It is engraved with "THE KINGS TANKARD" with a crown directly underneath. It is also engraved with the names of every ruler of the British Monarchy from 871 through 1952. It also has the dates of their reign. It begins with Alfred The Great and goes through to Queen Elizabeth II. There are a total of 59 kings and queens listed. This tankard was manufactured of English pewter by Viners of Sheffield. Interestingly, it has a glass bottom. The pewter ring underneath is stamped: "English Pewter--Viners of Sheffield --Made In England" I believe this tankard was likely made in early 1950 for Queen Elizabeth II's coronation.
