Published by Razor Bill: New York, 2007. Boldly SIGNED on the title page by the celebrated author! NOT inscribed, simply SIGNED by the great Jay Asher! A First American Edition/Early Printing. Sometimes referred to as a Second Edition. A full number line ending in "1". Please remember this is NOT the First Edition/First Printing of this title! This copy would typically be considered either the Second Edition or an Early Printing of the First Edition. Once again, this is NOT a First Edition/First Printing. The printing history of this title is somewhat confusing but we'll attempt to describe it as clearly and succinctly as possible. The first edition and the second edition have similar copyright pages with a full number line and the last printing date of "2007". So, if one was to only look at the copyright page, they might assume their copy is a true first. There are, however, a few important and distinguishable differences. The first edition will have blank endpapers, the second edition will have illustrated map end papers. The second edition will also have four pages of praise prior to the first page of text and 13 questions for the author at the rear of the book. The true first will not have such praise or questions for the author. There are also points of issue but those are a few significant ones. When it comes to the dust jacket, the true first state dust jacket will also have important differences! To name just a few, the first state dust jacket will NOT have the "New York Times BESTSELLER" blurb or the Sherman Alexie praise. This copy has both as well as numerous other differences which make it, most assuredly, a second edition/later printing dust jacket. So, regardless of ones' personal preference relating to the language, the most important thing to remember is that this copy is NOT the First Edition/First Printing of this title! It would/should be considered either an Early Printing of the First Edition or simply a Second Edition. This rare treasure has some clearly visible wear, but is still in Highly Desirable, Highly Collectible condition! The book appears gently read and has no internal writing, no foxing, no remainder marks, no missing pages and is NOT Ex-Libris or a BCE. The binding is holding tight and the pages are still surprisingly crisp and clean! Some general/shelf wear along with creases/marks/wear to the spine/corners/boards, particularly noticeable near/along the edges, toning/discoloration to the pages and wear to some of the pages, NOT affecting the text! The wear is clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered. The original dust jacket is fully intact and NOT price-clipped! The wear, particularly near/along the edges, is clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered.
