Description: Eight (8) “Zombie Chicken” Hybrid Cross Chicken Hatching Eggs TikTok famous "Zombie Chickens" are a first-generation hybrid only cross of the “The Rarest Chicken in the World,” the Ayam Cemani and a White Leghorn. Made famous on TikTok by one of our favorite creators, @ChakraChickens. Also similar to "Moonbeam" chickens marketed online. Ayam Cemani, originally from Indonesia, are truly stunning birds with jet-black feathers reflecting a beetle-green or purple iridescence in sunlight. A genetic mutation, fibro-melanosis causes a hyperpigmentation in almost every part of the bird, creating black/gray combs, tongues, legs, internal organs and even meat. White Leghorns, an Italian breed, carry a dominant white feather gene, and when crossed with Ayam Cemani, the offspring produced are predominantly white-feathered birds that express the hyperpigmentation of the Ayam Cemani in a grayscale Zombie fashion. Depending on how the mutation expresses itself, the offspring may have regular or grayscale to black combs, wattles, beaks, skin, legs/feet, and stray feathers. Just like with pure bred Ayam Cemani offspring, we can't guarantee exactly how the mutation will express itself, so some variations are to be expected. You may hatch pure bred Ayam Cemani chicks, or the Zombie Hybrid chicks as pictured with white or light gray feathering and with possibly red, gray, or black combs and wattles as pictured. Full hyperpigmentation is expressed when birds are 1-2 years of age. As with other hybrid crosses (Cinnamon Queens, Golden Comets etc.) the offspring of this cross may not breed true, creating offspring that resemble more of the original parent stock--but still very unique and beautiful! To preserve the benefits and vigor of a true Hybrid, we purposefully DO NOT include Zombies in our breeding flock. Our last Zombie hatch rate was 90% with 95% fertility on our farm, and fertility is checked on a regular basis since the larger eggs are a breakfast favorite. Our birds used as the hybrid parent stock are included in the listing. Please reach out to us if you have any questions about this). After payment is received, we candle and select fresh eggs recently collected the nesting boxes to prepare for shipment. Our extended 10-day handling period allows buyers to request specific shipping dates to coordinate hatching schedules, otherwise most orders go out within 24 or 48 hours after receiving your cleared payment. There is a $15 non-refundable Handling Fee for each order, automatically included with the shipping costs to cover expenses with storage, materials, and labor. We recommend that you select USPS Ground Advantage (2-6 Days) to avoid any additional hazards associated with air travel that often occurs with Priority Mail shipping. Both options include up to $100 to cover any losses that may occur during shipping and packages should be opened at the Post Office to check for losses before accepting them. All packages are automatically marked “Please call for pick up” and include the phone number associated with your eBay account. A day in the back of a mail carrier jeep with constant, bumpy off-road stops/accelerations is definitely not recommended.
