Description: This is a low loss, 50 ohm, double shielded coax assembly. The 14.5ft length is specifically made for CB radio applications. This specific length is 1/2 wavelength taking into account the velocity factor of the coax in use. In this case 80%. An exact half wavelength (or whole multiple there of ie. 14.5. 29.0, 43.5...) mirrors the load impedance. A perfectly tuned antenna (the load) will show a 50 ohm impedance and this is the impedance we want the transceiver to see. Using this length will give better match even when you only needed a lesser amount. We use only Genuine, Made in USA, Times Microwave? LMR-240UF coax with silver/Teflon PL-259 Male connectors installed on both ends. Connectors have both braid AND center conductor soldered. The flexible TPE jacket is water tight and designed for a minimum service life of 10 years in outdoor installations. With a minimum bend radius of 3/4 inch, clean installations are a breeze.
