Message us on Ebay or contact us by phone at 409-927-4181 Why Go Rigid? When internal machining, the limiting factor on CNC turning centers or multi-task machines is often the rigidity (or lack thereof) of the boring bar. It is important to note that a carbide shank is nearly 3X more rigid than a traditional steel shank. While in the cut the steel shank deflects (pushes-off), even more so when extended beyond 3:1 (L/D) and when threading, machining difficult materials or interrupted cuts. This often results in poor surface finish, size variation, poor tool life and reduced machine utilization. The rigid shank minimizes vibration and can eliminate chatter. Tool life is preserved, resulting in fewer offset adjustments and insert indexes. Greater rigidity allows for parameter adjustments (speeds/feeds) to optimize cycle times. In a nutshell, your rigid shank will pay for itself over and over again, day in and day out. Reduced setup time (due to elimination of chatter), higher quality parts, less scrap, longer run times. Greater machine utilization and production means more $$$$ in your pocket at the end of the day. VersaBar Modular System Tool$aver's selection of economy fixed-pocket styles is limited to the most popular styles. Should your application require a different pocket style (using a different insert or different hand) please consult VersaBar modular Product Supplement (link below). Most VersaBar items are in stock and can be shipped within 1-2 days. https://www.toolsaverinc.com/documents/versabar-product-supplement-2024.pdf Custom Bars Does your application require a non-standard carbide boring bar? Tool$aver can design and build it to your application, with geometry (insert style) and minimum bore capability as needed. About Tool$aver Tool$aver is a small family owned business located in Dickinson, Texas (a suburb of Houston) that began in 1978. Our seasoned management team has more than a century of experience in designing and manufacturing all types of indexable tools. We understand how they work which provides us the know-how to fix any crashed (or worn) indexable tool, at a fraction of replacement cost. Our experience in indexable tool manufacturing, combined with our state of the art CNC capabilities, make Tool$aver your one stop shop for carbide shank boring bars on eBay. Tool$aver's unique manufacturing process utilizes both new and repurposed carbide shanks. For example, a worn extended length 3/4” carbide end mill (with short flutes) can be repurposed into a new 3/4” boring bar. A broken boring bar (with qualified shank) becomes a new stubby boring bar. This concept makes it possible for us to provide high quality at highly competitive prices. Our mission is to make it affordable for every shop to use rigid shanks! Best of all, you buy with confidence knowing that every tool we manufacture, re-manufacture (repurpose), or repair is backed by Tool$aver's 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. High performance at a bargain price. That's the Tool$aver difference. Saving your tools and saving you $$$$ is what we're all about. Thank you for choosing us. You won't be disappointed.
