Description: Offered here is a vintage classic Children's Nickel Magazine: "Top-Notch Magazine Vol. 1, No. 1", March 1, 1910, EXCEEDINGLY RARE, approx. 10 3/4" X 8", by various authors - check the Table of Contents as shown above. Issued monthly. Uncredited full color cover illustration. In GREAT shape for it's age, There are a few tiny chips on the spine, a light flattened fold at the bottom right corner and a tiny closed triangle shaped tear at the left of center bottom edge - reinforced with a tiny piece of "filmoplast archival tape". Some internal oxidation. WHERE are you gonna find another? In any condition let alone this nice? Came from the original family - purchased from a gentlemen whose great grandfather owned these originally. Shipped INSURED in plastic, between stiff cardboard and with delivery confirmation. "The first issue of Top-Notch Magazine appeared in March 1910. It began as a magazine for teenagers and, even as a pulp, concentrated mostly on sports stories, before switching to a men’s adventure magazine in the 1930s. During its twenty-seven year run, the magazine was published twice-monthly, and became one of Street & Smith’s circulation leaders in the pulp market."
