Description: For sale is (1) Truly Tiny Banana (Musa spp.), a Dwarf Ornamental Banana that is currently making the rounds in tropical gardens. Although it is becoming more popular, it is still relatively difficult to find a true Truly Tiny. The specimen for this listing is pictured in a 6" pot; this is a "pup" aka sucker that came off a 'mother plant' originally sourced from Going Bananas in Homestead, Florida (a reputable and well-known nursery specializing in bananas.) These bananas are famous for their true dwarf nature; the Truly Tiny variety was developed from the common dwarf cavendish. Unfortunately, due to their size, any fruit produced will likely not be edible, if produced at all; this is solely sold for the dwarf ornamental value. However, bananas reproduce via "pups" since they are actually herbs and not trees, so you only need one plant and adequate care/space to fill up an entire garden of clones! The second picture in the listing shows the mother plant from which the pup for sale was take from. The third picture is what a grove of mature Truly Tiny banana plants can look like. Can potentially be grown indoors with adequate light, heat, and nutrients (I have friends doing so in Illinois -- obviously bring it in for cold temperatures!) Please feel free to ask any questions, thank you. Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail, flat $10 cost to buyer. Plants will be shipped BARE ROOT with some soil for padding, NOT in the pot pictured. Please keep local and state regulations in mind when purchasing. I am not responsible for mail confiscations.
