Callaway Big Bertha Hawkeye 7 Wood / Ping Pal Irons Junior / Ladies 6 Club Set Approx. 62" Tall, Little Ben Putter Approx. sizing: 62+" Tall GBB Hawkeye 7 Wood The Great Big Bertha Fairway Woods incorporate the S2H2 design and technology of Callaway Golf with the strength and super lightweight of titanium. The Great Big Bertha Fairway Woods are a friendly forgiving golf club that is large (250cc) and long yet lighter in weight (300g).This club features the Great Big Bertha Ultra Light Light Flex Graphite Shaft.Review: "Ah the fairway wood...we demand for it to be long, forgiving and precise in our shots. Even when our game isn't always there. I like the basic looks at the address to start off. Clean, pleasing to the eye and it does have a small sized head, which I always prefer. I replaced the shaft w/a Grafalloy ProLite 35r, & I find the flight to be a strong trajectory off the deck. I have a smooth tempo, and for my swing speed (95), it rewards me with length that I don't deserve to get. I haven't stayed up with the latest technology in fairway woods, there may have been improvements, but if you take a look in my bag, I tend to hang onto old favorites. I don't mind giving up distance if I can improve on accuracy."Ely Callaway, founder of Callaway Golf, chose the name Big Bertha for the driver he introduced in 1991. He borrowed the name from a German WWI howitzer, nicknamed Big Bertha because of its massive size and power. The Big Bertha driver was revolutionary at the time for its fully stainless steel construction during a time when many golfers still used traditional wooden drivers. The head of the original Big Bertha, while small by today's standards, was quite large by 1991 standards, which immediately set the club apart from competitors.Besides setting a new standard for size and materials, the Big Bertha driver was revolutionary in that it put more weight around the perimeter of the club-head, resulting in a thinner, more forgiving club-face. The design instantly enlarged the sweet spot compared to persimmon drivers, while remaining lightweight. This Big Bertha driver is suitable for players who tend to slice their ball or struggle to find consistency in ball flight. While Big Bertha will allow you to hit it long because of its larger sweet spot, its forgiveness accommodates players of all abilities. The original Big Bertha driver launched in 1991, and during that time was considered to be massive because most golfers were still using persimmon drivers. Made of stainless steel, Big Bertha OG clocked in at 190cc.Big Bertha’s large sweet spot, which provided a new level of forgiveness, separated the line from its competitors. Designers eliminated the neck of the club by extending the shaft through the club head which created more energy at impact. At 190cc, the 1991 driver was only about 40% of today’s 460cc drivers, and is more comparable to today’s 3-woods, which have club-heads in the 175cc neighborhood.Big Bertha has become one of the most recognized names in golf as a staple of the Callaway Golf lineup that has been successful since it launched in the 1990s.Although the Big Bertha line was designed to help high-handicappers play better, touring pros benefit from other clubs in the Callaway lineup. Phil Mickelson, Jon Rahm, Henrik Stenson, and Xander Schauffele headline a group of more than three dozen Callaway staffers on the PGA Tour. Callaway also has more than 50 players on staff among the LPGA, Korn Ferry and Champions Tours, including icons like David Leadbetter, Annika Sorenstam and Pete Cowan. Ping Pal 5, 7, 9, & Sand Irons, Junior version of Ping Eye2 Irons Wildly Popular since their mid 80's inception, the Ping Eye2 Irons are the original, and still one of the BEST cast, perimeter weighted cavity back irons on the market. The PING Eye 2 irons are one of the all-time best-selling iron sets and remain popular with nostalgic golfers today. The clubs feature extreme perimeter weighting that allow them to resist twisting at impact making them more forgiving. The sole design helps glide through the turf for better playability from different lie conditions.Ping Golf started as a family putter company simply working out of a garage. Today, it is one of the most forward-thinking, technology and data-driven golf companies in the world producing clubs in every category—all while still being 100-percent family-owned and operated. That’s something that can’t be said about any of the other major golf OEMs.From a garage to an entire campus, which is what Ping likes to call its headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona, the company has produced some of the most iconic sets of irons ever made, and essentially invented game improvement clubs. And Ping still owns the title for producing the top-selling iron of all time. To look back at the history of Ping irons is to look at a timeline of constantly improving products and technology. Review: "So consistent... It probably helps that I've been playing these irons since the late 80's. I don't seem to hit them too short. 8 iron is good for 140 yards or so. Can hit the 2 iron consistently, especially off the tee. Great alternative for tight tee shots. I used to shoot in the 70's, but don't play regularly over the last several years. Only once last year, but hitting these irons is like riding a bike. Don't swing too hard, feel the club head, stay over the ball, and the results are good! Super accurate.. I tend to fade my woods, but not my irons. Can play 'em high and soft or drive it in shallow. I don't recall what I paid for them... They weren't cheap back in the day... But I've had them so long, the value is proven to be excellent. They're a bit odd looking I guess, but I hit them so well, I've grown to love the way they look. So confidence inspiring..." "Why I ever stopped playing these, I do not know. After several years of trying every other iron you can think of, I found a set of Eye 2's again and will not change. It's no wonder that every cavity back made since 1990 has copied these irons. they are easy to align, easy to hit, workable, and have a mid-size head. Other than sometimes wanting a little less offset, these irons are all that everyone else says they are and more. Perfect for any player - of any handicap. Find a set, buy them, play them, keep them."
