Description: This is possibly the last survivor of this model of golf club left in the world. Serious Collectors of clubs will likely be familiar with the R.Anderson patent irons with their semi-circular metal heads..they sell for around 1000 GBP each and a few dozen have come to auction over the last 40 years. The stamp R.ANDERSON PATENT EDINBURGH can be made out on the crown of the head. Well , this to my knowledge is the only wooden headed Mashie that's ever surfaced. I have owned it for several years and a small article about my discovery appeared in the journal of The British Golf Collectors Society. What's it worth ? Very difficult to say as no others have been recorded or sold. For a appropriate amount I'm wlling to part with this gem from my collection.
