Description: Up for sale is one original Common Stock Certificate for 100 shares of United Smelters, Railway and Copper Company (now defunct). This particular example is number 7962 and was issued to one Minnie Shigley on May 7, 1909. The certificate is in good condition with no rips, tears, and only minor yellowing of the paper in some spots (nothing horrible). More specifically, there are a few "tan-ish sun spots" present (at the creases of the certificate when it was originally folded up). I wish that I could say that it was in mint condition, but I cannot. I would classify it as "good condition", as previously mentioned. The certificate is printed in green ink around the borders that simulate the printing on the U.S. dollar. At the top of the certificate there's a picture of the front end of an approaching locomotive and at the bottom of the certificate is a picture of the smelter mill. We have a total of 9 of these certificates left with all the others being in "as-good-as" condition, or better. This listing is for 1 certificate, but you may purchase up to 9. All certificates bear the same owner's name, Minnie Shigley, and the certificates are consecutively numbered from 7954 through 7962. We prefer not to split them up so if you're only interested in a few certificates, we'll select those from the beginning of the numbers or take them from the final numbers of the certificates so that the remaining certificates remain consecutively numbered. Finally, shipping is only offered within the contiguous U.S. If you live outside the contiguous U.S., kindly inform me and I'll check into the postage costs for you. Please ask any and all questions via the eBay "ask a question" format. Thanks for looking; take care and God bless.
