INCLUDES: 1) 35' 110 volt hose - For use with "Universal" vacuum outlets This Central vacuum hose will work with just about all modern central vacuum systems that use a 1.5" I.D. wall inlet valve opening. This hose has a "pig-tail" cord that needs to be pugged into a nearby electrical outlet. This type of universal hose is for vacuum outlets that DO NOT have 110 volt access built into the wall inlet valve. This hose has a 3-position switch on its handle; position 1 is off, position 2 is vacuum only on, position 3 is vacuum & power head on... If you have a Vacuflo system with Vacuflo "Automatic" valves (system turns on when you open the valve door), please see our other hoses for use in "Vacuflo" valves. Again, this is not the hose for use w/ Vacuflo Automatic valves. PLEASE READ - F.A.Q - Vacuflo offers two styles of hoses for use in different wall valves. The first is used with the proprietary VACUFLO-STYLE automatic inlet valve; this style inlet valve usually activates the vacuum system as soon as you lift the little valve door open, regardless if the hose is inserted or not. It also usually has 4 screws securing it to the wall. The TurboGrip hose used w/ this type of wall valve will have two metal prongs on the hose end (the end that inserts into the wall valve) that will insert into two small openings just above the larg opening on the wall valve... The second type is used with UNIVERSAL-STYLE inlet valves. Universal inlet valves come in many shapes and sizes and used by many different central vacuum manufacturers (including Vacuflo). They all have two small metal electrical contacts INSIDE the round opening (on the wall valve) that you insert your hose into. These metal contacts are usually spaces 2-4 hours apart. The TurboGrip hose used w/ this type of wall inlet valve will have two semi-circular bands on the hose end (the end that inserts into the wall valve) that will make an electrical connection with the two small metal contacts inside the opening...
