The aluminum mounting upright is approx. 1/8" thick at the base. The mounting uprights are 8in wide at the base and 16.5" total height. The Base is welded complete onto the upright post for complete seal. There are 4x 3/4" eyehook per mounting upright. Drilling is required to install this system. 11 gauge steel 2" X 8" Heavy-duty interior plate with bolts create a strong bond between the interior and exterior steel.
