Description: VICTORIA Black Zirconium scales for Spyderco MANIX 2 Redesigned Scales for Spyderco Manix 2 with more comfortable handling and easier opening / closing. Now with Right hand carry, Tip up Clip position with optional Left hand carry (pre-drilled). COMPATIBILITY: These scales are designed for the standard Manix 2 with the Steel liners and will replace the factory G10 scales only (you will still need the Steel liners for the install). If you want to order these scales for your Manix 2 Lightweight, send me a message and I will refer you to a 3rd party hardware swap kit that converts your Lightweight Manix 2 so you can use my standard scales. The Lightweight Manix 2 models feature a "unibody" plastic handle with two pins on the pocket clip side and two screws on the opposite side to secure the handles together. In contrast, the G10 version predominantly uses metal components and is assembled with screws instead of pins, facilitating easy swapping of custom scales, unlike the Lightweight version. INSTALLATION: You can use the hardware from the factory knife you purchase separately (*Installation of the scales requires some basic tools and knowledge. You will need a good torx bit set to remove the screws and pivots. The pivot can be tough to remove if you don't know what you are doing. You can search YouTube for more instructions or email me. Black ZIRCONIUM: Pure Zirconium (Zr Atomic number 40) is a lustrous, grey-white, very strong, lightweight and hypoallergenic metal that closely resembles hafnium and, to a lesser extent, titanium. Zirconium is extremely resistant to heat and corrosion and it is lighter than steel. Through my own heating process, I create a unique appearance, that's called "Black Zirconium" or "Oil Slick". Through this high heat, a layer of extremely hard black oxide grows on the metal. This thin black layer is much harder than pure Zirconium, which does not rub off over time. Therefore, it is more durable than black-coated items, such as black tungsten and titanium. This "black" or "Oil Slick" color is permanent, it does not fade, tarnish, or change color.
