Description: An antique trade card for Sapanule glycerine lotion, produced by Samuel Gerry & Co. in the 1880s and 1890s. Sapanule was just one of countless 'patent medicines' that claimed to cure pretty much 'whatever ails you'. The card is 2-3/4" x about 3-7/8", with a great lithographed scene with a trio of ice skating children and dog on the front, with information on the product on the back, in classic Victorian lettering. Printed by L. Lundberg of Providence, Rhode Island. The card is in excellent shape, with no tears, writing or creasing.
