Victorinox Huntsman Swiss Army Knife 1985-1991

Description: The Victorinox Huntsman is a pocket multi-tool which is still small enough not to require a belt case. This one is a B, almost nice enough for a collector and interesting because we know within a few years when it was made. There is a sewing eye in the awl, so we know it was made no earlier than 1985. We know it was made no later than 1991 because it has the old style grooved corkscrew and because it has no parcel hook. The Huntsman is a standard-sized (3.5”/91 mm) Swiss Army knife with four layers of utensils. It contains large and small knife blades, can opener with small screwdriver, bottle opener with large screwdriver, scissors, wood (or bone) saw, corkscrew, awl, toothpick, tweezers, and key ring. I am primarily a collector, but searching for new and unusual models often brings me duplicates and perfectly useful knives that I cannot keep. I share these on eBay. I classify knives by condition according to the scale below. Grading Scale: A+ new in box, with paperwork. Box may be worn, but the knife has never been carried, sharpened, or used. Collector or museum quality. A new or like new, but no box or paperwork. Collector or museum quality. B+ Excellent condition, no obvious wear, clean, tight, complete. Good for a collector, but probably not a museum. B Excellent condition with some wear on the scales (handles). Clean, tight, complete, but the Swiss cross may be barely visible. A great carrier but not pretty enough for a collector’s display. B- Some wear but still an excellent carrier. Clean, tight, complete. C+ A good carrier. Clean and complete with excellent utility value. C A good used pocketknife but nothing more. Everything is there and it all works, but if you dropped it in the creek you might not jump in to retrieve it. D Sold as is. Might be useful for parts or dissection. F You’ll never see this because they end up in my trash can. If you are not happy with your purchase when you get it, send it back. I’ll refund your purchase price.
