Description: So authentic you can practically hear the music, this handmade late prohibition era (as per the previous owner) belly dancing costume has all the bells, whistles and… finger symbols! After the veils fall, this gorgeous two piece outfit dazzles with coins, chains, gems, sequins, and tassels on the brassiere top. A skirt of rich blue velvet is draped in metallic gold and silver semi sheer chiffon, gold trim, and long black fringe with deep slits for legwork. An incredible one of a kind piece for performance or display that will captivate your audience. Good condition consistent with age and use. Occasional missing bits of fringe, sequins, and other accoutrements. Scattered loose threads and faint stains. Hook and eye closures have some rust. Finger symbols are tarnished (a quite nice patina!). Best fit likely size small. Top is probably modern 34 B or small C: band is 31 inches. Neck strap is 17 1/2 inches long. Both have stretch. Skirt “waist” is cut to rest just above hips and is 32 inches. Waist to hem is 30 inches.
