Description: This is a RARE Gillette classic in great condition for its age. This set can be found on mr-razor.com. It’s got a gorgeous mix of gold and brass. The top cap has a smooth soft gold tone. The blade deck shows a little wear but still in great shape. The open comb teeth are stellar. The handle knurling is nice and the TTO knob and butterfly doors operate smoothly. The open comb provides a smooth and efficient shave. The razor is harder to find these days and it just has that cool factor. When you twist open the butterfly doors and look down at the teeth, you see an amazing piece of craftsmanship. It’s hard to believe this sold for $.98 back in the day. I would rate the case as in good condition. The outside has a chip on the bottom and one on the top, but the patterned design is nice and it does shut. The interior is fair. The set is completed with a cellophane wrapped box of vintage Blue Gillette Blades.
