It reattaches when pushed back in. Given these issues and considering the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is required.***********This vintage 1960's Mortima SuperDatomatic diver has a black "MADE FRANCE" signed dial that shows considerable wear and the lume does not glow after being exposed to bright light. The black bezel, which shows wear and rotates smoothly bidirectionally, presents nicely. The chrome-plated case shows significant wear and brassing. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "WATERPROOF STAINLESS STEEL BACK" with "MORTIMA" and "DELUXE" stamped along the inner edge. The crystal shows scratching. The 17 jewels Cattin C66 manual wind movement runs and keeps accurate time. However, the date wheel does not roll over and occasionally the stem detaches. It reattaches when pushed back in. After winding the non-screwdown crown 15 full revolutions the movement had a power reserve of approximately 31 hours. Given the issues mentioned and considering the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is required. This watch measures approximately 38 mm excluding the crown, approximately 41.5 mm including the crown and approximately 20 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 8.5 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 10 mm. Given that the date wheel does not roll over, the stem occasionally detaches and considering the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is required.
