Description: Vintage 1964 Fisher Price "Merry-Go-Round" #111, is a sweet Carousel with a musical movement that, when turned on and wound up goes round and round to the music box tune. The music works, but is a little herky-jerky. Since the movement is made in Switzerland, I imagine it can be cleaned up and oiled a bit...As the music plays, it looks like the little guy (who has a scowl on his face!) is working hard at cranking the bar. You can see in the last four photos that he changes position as the music plays and the carousel turns. The paper-covered wood base has very little wear, scratches, discoloration, and scuff marks expected from its age. There is a small section of fencing on the back that looks to have been repaired at some time. It is a single unit, with no additional parts or accessories included. It measures approximately 11.75” x 8.5” x 6.5”. Highlighted by its Fisher-Price branding and 1964 manufacturing date, this toy is a must-have for vintage toy enthusiasts and collectors. The carousel has a musical movement feature, which adds to its charm and appeal. Despite its age, this item remains in good working condition and has plenty of potential for imaginative play for years to come.
