Description: Received these items as a Christmas gift in 1964 right after the hit movie, Mary Poppins, starring Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke was released. The Mary Poppins set was the hot toy item that year and I was very nervous when my parents told me it was sold out at most stores. But, there it was, under the tree on Christmas morning. Santa Claus came through. The set includes: White gown and matching straw hat Blue coat and matching hat Umbrella, shoes and carpet bag Purple and white casual dress The white gown has yellowed with age and the pink, waist belt disintegrated. One of the button holes is also deteriorated. The hat has yellowed and is misshaped. The blue coat is in very good condition, but the hat has some damage. The umbrella has 2 broken spokes, but could probably be fixed with good eyes and the right tool. The dress, bag and shoes are all in good condition. See pictures.
