Description: This seldom seen genuine and original vintage 1969 Bulova Oceanographer 'M' Snorkel diver stainless steel bezel, blue and red acrylic insert and tension spring combo came from the estate of an old school watchmaker. Prior to removing the staple the package showed no signs of ever having been opened. The bezel itself shows no clear signs of ever having been mounted. While the insert is nearly blemish free as clearly seen in the pictures the inverted triangle shows an impression and a crack, likely caused by how it was stored/handled over the past several decades. This bezel/insert will only fit the 1969 Bulova Oceanographer 'M' Snorkel diver with '2969' stamped case. Using only a ruler the outer diameter of the bezel measures approximately 36 mm with the inner diameter measuring approximately 32 mm. The inner diameter of the insert measures approximately 30 mm.Rarely do vintage parts that have spent a lifetime apart come together seamlessly. Because this bezel/insert combo wasn't born on your watch it's likely that some form of manipulation will be needed for it to fit as it should onto your mid-case (provided that it is correct for your watch). It should be anticipated that a skilled vintage watchmaker will be needed to get it properly mounted.
