Description: From an estate near HOUSTON, TEXAS! Research shows that Cheinco started producing houseware products during 1970’s such as this metal kitchen canister. The company originally produced metal and tin toys until US regulations and an overabundance of plastic toys made it impossible to continue with tin toy making. During the 1970’s they turned to focus on housewares and began creating metal kitchen canisters with a variety of designs. This canister depicts a vintage cover photo from the popular Good Housekeeping Magazine dated September 1927. In the 1980’s the Cheinco company was sold and the name was changed slightly, leaving the production date of this tin in the decade of the 70’s.Thank you for shopping with us!
