Description: Vintage all original 1970's 1978 very rare and hard to find local Denver, Colorado dragstrip drag strip race track drag race car NHRA trophy. The very heavy WALLY trophy measures 12 1/2" tall and is very well-made. The trophy reads on the colorful name plate "National Hot Rod Association, Class Winner, Championship Drag Races, 1978 Mile-High Nationals, Denver, Colorado, Presented By National Hot Rod Association" with blue and red colors on a gold finish background. The trophy has an antique finish NHRA driver holding his helmet with goggles and his other hand resting on a slick tire with a 5-slot mag wheel. He measures 9" tall and is attached to an 2 1/2" tall by 5 1/8" diameter solid wood sub-base (with the name plate badge) on top of a 3/4" tall by 6 1/8" diameter solid wooden base as pictured. The trophy displays beautifully with a great graphics, details and patina. It shows storage wear with some gold/antique bronze finish loss and dings and nicks to the base as pictured. The Wally trophy is in overall very good used complete condition. Nice item for the garage, man cave, bar, pub, tavern, saloon, taproom, game room, family room, etc. It is sold as is and as pictured with returns not accepted. $25.00 USPS or FedEx postage.
