Vintage 1980s Retro Abstract Graffiti Post Modern Large CLOCK Pop Art Memphis

Description: Vtg 80's Retro Time Machine Graffiti Splatter Retro Large Folk Art Clock Memphis Very unique folk artist made retro memphis design time machine mantel clock. The artist signed the piece and is dated 1988. The clock is quite large measuring 14 1/2" tall at the antenna X 10 1/2" wide at the Base X 5 1/2" deep. The clock still works and powered by a single AA Battery. The paint work is just phenomenal, many bright colors splattered/graffiti over a liquid silver base. As we looked as this piece it came into focus that the artist created a very retro 1980s themed time machine. There is a small triceratops dinosaur. Very well camouflaged in the back top portion of the clock along with a very space aged antenna and a side convoluted exhaust port. The clock appears to be an 1980s retro craft but made in a wonderful memphis pattern that was so popular in that era. Extremely creative art work to say the least. The clock is built with a very solid wood frame and tapered retro 3 legged support. Over all the clock is in good condition, there is some paint that has flaked off only on the small diamonds edges, and the red second hand of the clock has some slight rippling/bending.
