Please note that after installing brand new batteries (not included), I was able to test it and it does play beautifully. I have recorded video unfortunately I cannot share, but I will keep it for my records so it does play however, (WITH TAPE) when I try to fast forward it or reverse it, it stops and I can hear the spinning inside (WITHOUT TAPE it spins and stops, you give it a little help and continues to spin just to stop again so I do not know if it is a matter of opening it for a deep cleaning which I will not do I’ll leave that up to you the expert or something else is damaged. As you can see battery cover is present, but there must be a clip damage because when I close it, it comes off by itself, so it is not staying in place. Since it is being sold as a preowned item, signs of use, discoloration, scratches, missing parts, and or other wear could be found.
