Description: This kit is New Old Stock (NOS) NOTE: SOLD AS IS - The box has been opened to confirm that all pieces and instructions are included. The following two items were not found in the box, so I lowered the intended selling price of the kit. MISSING: 1) Silkscreen printed page for windows (In my opinion based on experience, a better, more realistic look is achieved by cutting mullions out of small strips of wood. The plastic silkscreen printed pages usually included in kits give a very cheap result.) 2) Instruction Sheet (Even without the instruction sheet assembly is not difficult, since this kit involves punching out the pre-cut pieces and assembling them via the pre-designed tab and slot construction. Use as a guide the full-color photosof the exterior and interior of the house, which are shown on the front of the box.) I strongly recommend using wood glue to attach the shingles on the roof - it is strong and does not cause warping, because it contains less water than Elmer's Glue-All, for example. I also reinforce tab and slot kits with some glue at the key joints to give it extra strength. I have had success with Elmer's Carpenter's Wood Glue. Another great glue to have on hand is Beacon 527, since it dries clear and is very strong. It would be a good choice for building the stairs.
