Date: 16 Sept. 1952 A.S.T.A.P.A Content: approx 85% Wool 15% Nylon An original authentic US Army Wool Field Shirt manufactured & issued in Jan 1952. These shirts were designed as a component of the cold-wet (14 degrees F+) & cold-dry (negative 60 degrees F & up) uniforms. Constructed of shrink-resistant wool/nylon blend flannel which provides considerable warmth & can be used as a shirt or a jacket. Two chest pockets with button flaps (pencil pocket on left side), two-ply collar, one-button sleeve cuffs. Designed with square tail to be worn tucked or un-tucked. Condition is NOS: New Old Stock; shirt very wrinkled from having been stored 70+ years as originally shipped on a pallet. Expansion tabs on the back are still stitched. Pit to pit: 23".
