The back flap of the top triangle piece carries a makers label reading: “Thomas Sellew, Merchant Tailor, Providence, R.I., Mr. S. G. Bishop, 3/7/28”. The front of the apron is black velvet. The back is lined is a heavy ribbed cotton material. The rope / cord is shiny smooth, satin black. IMPORTANT: Because of its use and age, there are areas on the top back of the trim that have been mended below the cord areas that became frayed. SOLD AS IS. NO RETURNS. (See photos for details) It has been in climate controlled storage since acquired.
