Description: This is an original period poster print advertising the Five Barrison sisters at the Folies Bergeres in Paris. The girls have long curly hair and are wearing wide-brimmed hats tied under their chins with ribbon bows. They are smoking cigarettes and showing their black stockings while sitting on a carpet. The bottom is marked "Les Sisters Barrison" and to the right "Ateliers Choubrac a Colombes, Seine". Artist is indicated as "Houbrac" (spelling?). There is some paper loss along the right edge and the right bottom edge, but neither of these affecting the printed image. Poster is in a modern molded goldtone frame, overall 30"h x 45"w. The true life story of the Barrison sisters is rather unique. They were born in Denmark of Danish-German parents, came to the United States and later performed rather risque skits in Paris for the Folies Bergeres. You can read about their risque skits on-line.
