Description: VINTAGE BESWICK DAPPLE GREY RACEHORSE 'BOIS ROUSSEL' MODEL #701 2nd VERSION Click images to enlarge Description A Beswick model of the racehorse Bois Roussel in a dapple grey colorway. This is style two of the model #701 designed by Arthur Gredington and issued from 1960 until 1989. The model is 8" tall and 10" long. The model is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs apart from a tiny chip on the right front shoe. Beswick printed mark to underside. Bois Roussel was the winner of the Epsom Derby in 1938 in only his second start. Ridden by jockey Charlie Elliott he started at 20/1 and came from a long way back to win by 4 lengths.
