Description: The fine item you are considering is a Vintage CG Conn Model 424N Professional Clarinet With Mollenhauer Barrel. This beautiful vintage clarinet from Conn is in overall great, well cared for condition, with no damage that I can find. The metal ring on the outer edge (largest end) of the bell is a tad bit loose but I would imagine this would be quite easy to stabilize. The original barrel has been replaced with a vintage A. Mollenhauer, Cassel, barrel, either because the original barrel was lost, or because the owner preferred the sound of this barrel. I see no issues with the pads looking at them, but I’m no expert, and as with all vintage woodwind instruments, I cannot guarantee the condition of the pads. The ligature is not original and is stamped “Alto Sax” but it fits and works well. The beautiful original case is included and is in excellent condition.
