Description: c. 1970s-1980s Vintage painted metal rocket-themed base ride. Coin-op rides such as these have been popular additions to grocery stores and food courts for the better half of the last century. As the name would suggest, once a coin is inserted into the bank, the machine starts off, typically in a gentle rocking motion. This particular piece depicts a blue rocket ready to take off. It features red, yellow, and white embellishments along the sides and on the windows. Within the cockpit is a steering column to allow the rider to feel as though they are the pilot; it is unknown if this dictates which way the ride goes or if it's mostly for decoration.
