Description: This is a Coleman single mantle green lantern, model 200a700. It is date stamped 2-1981. This lantern was in descent condition when I found it, but had missing paint around the fuel cap area, and the decal was split and cracked. These green 200a's are much more rare than the red ones, and they are sought out by collectors due to the rarity. I restore these as a hobby, so I disassembled it completely, cleaned and shined each part inside and out. I stripped off all the paint on the fount, sanded it smooth and then repainted it. I use a high temperature powdercoat paint that I lay on in powder form then I bake it on at 400 degrees. This creates a much stronger paint that holds up much better and lasts many times longer. The porcelain vent cover has one dime size chip, but functions fine. (Please see all pictures). I reasembled the lantern, pressure tested all the fittings, then lit it up. It starts easily, runs bright and shuts down properly. These use "white gas" or Coleman fuel. I will include a new mantle. I added a new, period correct decal. I am including the two piece plastic Coleman carrying case, and a new mantle. I will purge all the fuel and pack carefully so it can be shipped most anywhere.
