Dunlap was a Sears & Roebuck store brand for tools. The story is that Tom Dunlap assumed control of the hardware division of Sears in 1937. The goal was to furnish Sears customers a lower cost alternative to the Craftsman brand. Tom was determined to provide an attractive as well as quality tool. This was done through strict quality controls and the use of proven tool companies. There was never a Dunlap factory. All tools were contracted through Sears from companies such as Danielson or Moore Drop Forge. Please note that I am not a business but just someone who has acquired tools and is not downsizing the ones no longer being used. I will combine shipment where possible on purchases made on the same day. If you do purchase multiple items then wait for an invoice or if payment needs to be made then I will adjust once the shipping cost is determined.
