Description: Vintage Eastern Airlines drinking glass commemorating/advertising the Lockheed Constellation Inaugural Flight from New York to San Juan in 1951. The Eastern Airlines Constellation was christened with a bottle of Coca Cola on June 1, 1951. The propeller-driven, four-engine Constellation airliner was built by Lockheed Corporation. Eddie Rickenbacker, famous World War 1 fighter pilot, was the president of Eastern Airlines and his signature appears on this glass. This vintage Eastern Airlines glass measures 4 3/4" x 2 1/2" and is in very good vintage condition, with no chips or cracks. It has one elongated bubble in the glass due to the manufacturing process, as shown in the photos above. The images and lettering are very bright and clear.
