If you're not aware, this is the "pro" version of the venerable 635A, which was originally marketed as an Electronic News Gathering microphone, and in its day, they were frequently seen on television in the hands of reporters. What many recording engineers found out, over time, is that they're GREAT mics for guitar amps. Many like them as single-point drum set mics as well. They have a very natural, smooth sound, and so have lots of applications in the studio. Being omni, they have no low-frequency build-up as you get near your source, which can really help you avoid mud. I have two of these currently for sale on eBay and this is one of them. It is in really nice condition and sounds like a 635A through and through. It performs as it should for this series of mics. It was tested utilizing a production studio setup. Please see the photos as part of this description. You will note in the photos that the EV PL5 paper name band around the neck of the mic has a wrinkling at the seam.
