Description: Vintage French Grumbacher 286 Artist's Portable Travel Field Easel Tin Tray. Tres Magnifique! This field easel has been well used and over the river and through the woods. It carries the spirit as well as the paint remnants of the Fort Worth painter from whose estate the easel was purchased. I set it up in a park for the photos. The legs and other sliding parts all work. Of course it could be used in a studio also. The tin paint tray has been used, and contains remnants of past creations plus rust. ***READ Please note there is NO HANDLE and no carrying strap but you may add one or both of your own if you plan to carry it in the field. The hardware where you may attach a handle and a strap are intact. The wood looks thirsty, dusty and dinged up as you would expect from a well-used vintage item.
