Description: HARMONY Stratotone "Mars" ChiTown Blusey Sound All Original some Normal wear and tear for 65+ year old guitar and a fixed crack lower bout by jack that is all character. I took the guitar apart and cleaned the electronics, polished the frets. (some wear of fretboard), dressed fret board, cleaned the body inside and out and restrung with retro monel. Looked like all original, pots date 62 I believe. 1959 saw the creation of the first hollow-body Stratotone models and the end of the smaller solid body versions. The new H46 featured concentric (stacked) volume and tone controls per pickup, three way switching, height adjustable bridge, and the familiar silkscreened headstock. DeArmond pickups were hard-mounted directly to the pickguard, and the neck was bolted on. The 1959-63 are the exact same guitar body and electronics, only the pickguard and "atomic" logo changed. 1959 Harmony H46 Stratotone "Mars" - Sunburst (made in USA) Reverb.com is a better choice!
