Description: This is beautiful vintage piece that features a highly detailed hand carved cameo in a solid 14k yellow gold mounting. I am not sure what material the cameo bust is, but it reminds me of alabaster. The base is tortoise shell in color and some type of stone or glass. The pin looks like it was hand fashioned with engraved detail along the border. The clasp is clearly marked 14k, it has been tested and is guaranteed to be as stated. The back is entirely closed, so there is quite a bit of gold. It measures 2 inches by 1-1/2 inches. The total weight is 21.5 grams as shown. The brooch is in very good condition.
